Sarcoma is a rare tumor of the thyroid gland, primary thyroid leiomyosarcoma (LMS) being even rarer. We present a case of LMS of the thyroid in a middle-aged female. Histopathologic examination in conjunction with immunohistochemistry helped to clinch the diagnosis. Knowledge of this entity is important to distinguish it from anaplastic thyroid carcinoma (ATC) and other sarcomas arising in the thyroid and adjacent soft tissue. The prognosis of thyroid LMS is dismal with an extremely poor survival rate.

Uterine leiomyosarcoma is a rare malignant tumor that accounts for almost 2-5% of all uterine malignancies. It has the highest prevalence during pre and perimenopause. Further, it clinically resembles benign conditions like leiomyoma, and the diagnosis is confirmed with the histologic findings of the mass. Here, we present the case of a 70-year-old female who presented with lower abdominal pain for two years. Exploratory laparotomy with hysterectomy was performed, and the diagnosis of leiomyosarcoma was confirmed after histological examination of the resected tumor.

Leiomyosarcoma (LMS) of the colon accounts for <1% of all colorectal malignancies. Our patient was a 72-year-old man with a history of aortic valvular disorder and congestive heart failure, who presented with an abdominal mass and no constitutional symptoms. Paratesticular leiomyosarcoma is a rare tumour. It is seldom diagnosed pre-operatively and subsequent secondary resection is often required. Current treatment consensus comprises inguinal radical orchidectomy with high ligation of the spermatic cord. We present a case of a 74-year-old male with a 3-year history of a painless right-sided scrotal mass which following excision was found to be an epididymal leiomyosarcoma. Scrotal leiomyosarcoma is a rare tumor arising from the dartos layer of the scrotum presenting as firm, rubbery, non-tender, irregular mass. To date about 37 cases of leiomyosarcoma of scrotum have so far been reported. Treatment involves wide surgical excision with tumor free margins. We report a case of scrotal leiomyosarcoma in a 48-year-old man which was treated by a wide surgical excision and follow up of 14 months showed no recurrence of tumor.
