A 3 day old girl presented with lobulated mass protruding from her mouth. The mass was clinically diagnosed as a congenital epulis. The child had no airway obstruction and was able to feed well. A conservative treatment was proposed with monthly follow up appointments to monitor the lesion. After 10 months the lesion completely regressed and the eruption of maxillary anterior teeth remained unaffected

We report a case of secondary chondrosarcoma arising in the ilium showing spontaneous regression after frequent local tumor recurrences followed by multiple surgeries of marginal or intralesional excision. The patient was a 16-year-old boy who had been diagnosed as having multiple exostosis from 9 years of age. He experienced an increasing abdominal tumor mass that formed a huge tumor. An immunohistological study of four men whose perianal warts were undergoing spontaneous regression was undertaken, and the results compared with those obtained from non-regressing condylomata from six men. CD4+ and CD8+ cells were noted in the stroma of each wart, but there was no clear difference in the density of the infiltrate between regressing and non-regressing warts. Natural killer cells (CD16+ and CD57+) were only noted in the stroma and epidermis of regressing warts. Possible immunological mechanisms of regression of condylomata acuminata are discussed.

We herein report a very rare case of spontaneous regression of recurrent undifferentiated carcinoma of the endometrium. An 80-year-old woman had undergone total hysterectomy with bilateral adnexectomy for undifferentiated carcinoma of the endometrium. The cancer recurred locally 10 months after surgery and then metastasized to the lung and liver. OBJECTIVE: To analyze the clinicopathologic characteristics of retinoblastoma spontaneous regression.
METHODS: Retrospective case series study. The clinic and pathologic data of 52 cases of retinoblastoma spontaneous regression were analyzed retrospectively. All the cases came from 579 cases of retinoblastoma (without pre-enucleation chemotherapy) archived in Ophthalmic Pathology Laboratory of Beijing Tongren Eye Centre from Jan. 2007 to Dec. 2013. The analyzed factors included tumor activity, tumor invasion, and tissue changes of uveal and lens.

Cardiac tumours in infancy are rare and are mostly benign with rhabdomyomas, fibromas and teratomas accounting for the majority. The presentation depends on size and location of the mass as they tend to cause cavity obstruction or arrhythmias. Most rhabdomyomas tend to regress spontaneously but fibromas and teratomas generally require surgical intervention for severe haemodynamic or arrhythmic complications. Other relatively rare cardiac tumours too are discussed along with an Indian perspective.

OBJECTIVE: Many fibroids regress with pregnancy or postpartum involution. We sought to identify factors that might inhibit or enhance this natural regression.
STUDY DESIGN: We used a prospective cohort of women with fibroids (n = 494) determined by ultrasound screening during the early first trimester identified from the Right from the Start study. Ultrasounds were repeated 3-6 months postpartum (n = 279). Logistic regression analyses were used to identify factors associated with fibroid regression (>50% reduction in volume).

OBJECTIVE: To describe the natural history of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) 2 in a prospective study of adolescents and young women, and to examine the behavioral and biologic factors associated with regression and progression.
METHODS: Adolescents and women aged 13 to 24 years who were referred for abnormal cytology and were found to have CIN 2 on histology were evaluated at 4-month intervals. Risks for regression were defined as three consecutive negative cytology and histology visits, and progression to CIN 3 was estimated using Cox proportional hazards regression models.

Described herein is a case of primary breast lymphoma (PBL) that underwent spontaneous regression (SR). A 71-year-old woman visited hospital because of the rapid growth of a tumor in her left breast. Spontaneous regression of a primary intramyocardial tumor is reported. The infant with the tumor had tachycardia in utero and this presented in the newborn period. The presence and later complete regression of the tumor was documented by two-dimensional echocardiography.
