Oral cancers are attributed to a number of causal agents including tobacco, alcohol, human papillomavirus (HPV), and areca (betel) nut. NUT (nuclear protein in testis) midline carcinoma is a rare malignant tumor arising in midline structures, such as head, neck and mediastinum.
