AIMS: This open-label non-placebo clinical trial was designed as an explorative test of a recent hypothesis suggesting a causative relation between neck muscle dyssynergia and pain in patients with chronic tension-type headache (TTH) and common whiplash (WL). We present a brief review of the literature about dopaminergic agonists. We report the five known dopaminergic receptors, where they are located, the advantages and disadvantages of the employment in parkinsonian patients. The dopaminergic agonists were introduced to control the limitations of levodopa-increasing the therapeutic window. We analyse the pharmacocynetic efficacy and the side effects of cabergoline, ropinirole and pramipexole.

OBJECTIVE: There are no data adressing the prevalence of restless legs syndrome in subjects who have knee prosthesis. Therefore, we conducted a cross-sectional survey of subjects who underwent knee prosthesis surgery.

We studied daytime sleepiness in 160 patients with Parkinson's disease and 40 normal subjects. We compared the prevalence of daytime sleepiness in patients who were taking levodopa alone, levodopa with bromocriptine, levodopa with ropinirole, and levodopa with pramipexole.
