There is little published data on the incidence of eye disease in Asian patients with psoriasis. We determined the frequency of ocular complications in Singaporean Asian patients with chronic plaque psoriasis and related these to extent and severity of psoriasis, family history, treatment and presence of arthritis. Since Koebner's first observance of the isomorphic response of psoriasis in a tattoo in 1872, a paucity of written reports has appeared in the literature describing this phenomenon, although it appears to be common knowledge among dermatologists. We report a strep-induced guttate psoriasis isomorphic response in a Winnie the Pooh tattoo in a 19-year-old.

The Nail Psoriasis Severity Index (NAPSI) is a numeric, reproducible, objective, simple tool for evaluation of nail psoriasis. This scale is used to evaluate the severity of nail bed psoriasis and nail matrix psoriasis by area of involvement in the nail unit. The NAPSI will be useful during clinical trials for evaluating response to treatment of psoriatic nails. The scale is reproducible, and because there are few data points, statistical analysis is simplified.

In 2,147 patients suffering from psoriasis, evaluation of the age of onset revealed two peaks, one occurring at the age of 16 years (female) or 22 years (males) and a second peak at the age of 60 years (female) or 57 years (males). BACKGROUND: Studies examining comorbidities among psoriasis patients with varying disease severities measured by body surface area (BSA) are lacking.
OBJECTIVE: To examine the association between psoriasis severity and comorbid conditions, including rheumatologic, cardiovascular and other immune-mediated diseases.
