BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: American Glaucoma Society members were surveyed to determine the pattern of use of viscoelastics for anterior chamber reformation at the slit-lamp in the post-operative clinical management of patients who have undergone trabeculectomy in order to give ophthalmologists an indication of how these materials are being used by their colleagues.

PURPOSE: The aim of the present study was to evaluate the topographic status of the welders' corneas.
METHODS: In this historical cohort, a group of welders (with at least 5 years' experience in welding) and a control group were assessed and compared. Lack of exposure to welding for 3 months or more was considered an exclusion criterion. In all participants, after taking a complete history of visual and ocular problems, both eyes underwent Pentacam imaging. PURPOSE: To determine the optical coherence tomographic (OCT) characteristics of normal corneas and to characterize the OCT images of abnormal corneal lesions.
METHODS: Eleven eyes from 10 patients were examined at the Cornea Service of the Nagoya University Hospital: 4 had corneal pathologies, 4 underwent keratoplasty, and 2 were normal controls; 1 enucleated eye was also examined. Marfan syndrome is an autosomal dominant connective tissue disorder characterized by skeletal, cardiovascular, and ocular anomalies. Ectopia lentis is the most common ocular manifestation. We report an ocular sign not previously described in Marfan syndrome, iridocorneal adhesions secondary to anterior lens subluxation. Three patients with the Marfan syndrome had iridocorneal adhesions on slit-lamp examination. One patient developed adhesions following treatment with pilocarpine.
