Biological rhythms in birds are driven by the master clock, which includes the suprachiasmatic nucleus, the pineal gland and the retina. Light/dark cycles are the cues that synchronize the rhythmic changes in physiological processes, including immunity. Four types of water-soluble luminescent quantum dots (QDs) whose surface was functionlaized with thioglycolic acid (TGA), 3-mercaptopropionic acid (MPA), or glutathione (GSH), were investigated for the sensitive and selective detection of hydroxyl radical (·OH) in aqueous media. We report herein the facile synthesis and structural characterization of a highly stable dinuclear Cu(i) complex, [(PPh3)2Cu(μ-tda)Cu(PPh3)2]·6H2O 1 (tda = thiodiacetate anion), in which the Cu-Cu distance is 7.197 Å. This "pre-formed" complex serves as an extremely efficient and recyclable homogeneous catalyst (2 mol%, 30 min) for CuAAC in dichloromethane solvent. The synthesis of a variety of glycoconjugates under ambient conditions is successfully achieved using 1 as a catalyst. Drug-related pemphigus is very rare in children. Erdosteine is a thiol compound having mucoactive, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antitussive effects and is reported to be safe for treatment of acute respiratory tract diseases in children.
