Uterine leiomyomas are common benign smooth muscle tumors typically confined to the uterus and hormonally responsive to estrogen and progesterone, typically regressing after menopause. Rarely, they demonstrate metastatic behavior despite benign histology, a condition known as benign metastasizing leiomyoma (BML). BML is exceedingly rare and can mimic malignancy, posing diagnostic challenges. Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) is a malignant soft tissue tumor of the pediatric population which is  rarely seen in adults. Metastatic rhabdomyosarcoma is even rarer. We present an unusual case of a 49 year old female presenting with palpitations and uterine bleeding. A 42-year-old para 2 women underwent laparotomy with a preoperative diagnosis of leiomyoma uterus and ovarian endometrioma. This is a case study of a 29-year-old nulliparous woman with a bicornuate uterus who had a poor obstetric history in whom we performed a laparoscopic metroplasty. She was advised to use barrier contraception for 3 months. A repeat hystero-laparoscopy performed 3 months later revealed a single large uniform uterine cavity without any adhesions. The patient had an incompetent cervical os after surgery and was advised to undergo cervical cerclage on conception.

We report a case of menorrhagia caused by retained fetal bones after a missed abortion in the second trimester. By hysteroscopy several bone fragments were removed. The patient got pregnant two months later.

Ruptured uterus, the largest contributor to maternal deaths in our center was reviewed to find ways of reducing it and improve the outcome. Sixty cases treated at Ogun State University Teaching Hospital, Sagamu between January 1988 and December 1997 were scrutinised. During the 10 year period, total deliveries were 5,214 giving an incidence of 11.5 per 1,000. 76.7% of cases occurred in patients aged 30 years and more; and 58.6% in para 4 and more. 88.3% were unbooked.
