At the Urological Clinic in Hradec Králové in 1975-1989 a total of 182 patients with germ cell tumours of the testis--nonseminomas were treated. Of these patients 37 were in stage III-IV (20%). In 27 (72.9%) initial chemotherapy was administered, since 1980 combined with cisplatinum, as outlined. In 20 patients also revision of retroperitoneal nodes (54%) was made, to 19 patients adjuvant chemotherapy was administered (5th and 6th cycle). In 12 patients irradiation was indicated (32.4%). Histological examination of the preparation removed from the retroperitoneum was implemented in 15 patients

A 37-year-old male was presented with an upper abdominal mass. A retroperitoneal bulky tumor was detected and operative biopsy revealed seminoma. The right testis was undescended and atrophic which was located at the left inguinal lesion. Pathologically, the primary tumor cells were not found in the left orchiectomied testis, but only scar and fibrosis were compatible with a burned-out testicular tumor. This patient showed partial regression by multidisciplinary therapy including combined chemotherapy with CDDP, etoposide and peplomycin, and is still on the same condition and alive for 3 years

Aortitis are mainly described in inflammatory disorders such as Takayasu arteritis, giant cell arteritis or Behçet's disease. Aortitis is sometimes qualified as idiopathic. A total of four patients underwent ureteral replacement using ileum without the antireflux mechanism for extensive ureteral loss from 1985 to 1995.
