An analysis of immunodiagnosis data for human neurocysticercosis (NC) by ELISA-IgG, complement fixation test (CFT) and indirect hemagglutination test (IHAT) in 67 serum samples and 54 cerebrospinal fluids (CSF) from confirmed cases of different hospitals from the Metropolitan Area of Santiago, Chile, was performed. The study was carried out in seven reproductive herds of pigs. In three of them reproductive disorders were observed. Immunoglobulin M (IgM) and IgA responses in patients with acute Q fever were compared by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Most cases of blastomycosis are sporadic and only nine outbreaks representing a total of 112 cases have previously been reported. Less than half of these have been culture proven cases.
