PURPOSE: We report our clinical experience with anterior diagonal iliac osteotomy in 10 patients who underwent surgery for bladder exstrophy. Technique and long-term results are discussed.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: A total of 10 boys 1 month to 9 years old with bladder exstrophy underwent this procedure during a 2-year period.

BACKGROUND: Optical rehabilitation of unilateral aphakia in eyes with no capsular support is problematic in pediatric patients who cannot tolerate contact lenses. Possible options include a unilateral aphakic spectacle, an anterior chamber intraocular lens (IOL), or a scleral fixated posterior chamber IOL. PURPOSE: Tube-corneal touch occurring after Ahmed glaucoma valve (AGV) implantation is conventionally treated by tube cutting or tube transposition from the original pathway. However, in some cases, tube cutting is insufficient, and rearranging the pathway of the tube through a new sclera tunnel, ciliary sulcus, or pars plana is not feasible, as the conjunctiva and sclera covering the tube are difficult to be redissected. So, we propose a novel technique that repositions malpositioned AGV tube using scleral fixation and its successful applications in two patients with tube-corneal touch.

Background and Clinical Significance: Many diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals are excreted in the urine. This can pose a diagnostic challenge when urine-containing structures are in atypical locations, particularly in review of planar imaging without anatomical details from cross-sectional imaging. This case highlights a challenging 99mTc-methylene diphosphonate (99mTc-MDP) bone scan in a patient with an inguinal hernia containing a portion of the urinary bladder. Microplastics (MPs) and antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) were compared across four marine aquaculture systems in Hainan (fish, shrimp, fish-shrimp mixed, and snail farms).
