Heterotopia of the macula is a condition in which the macula is displaced markedly from its normal position. Only 40 cases have been reported in the literature. The primary causes of uniocular blindness are uveitis (28.3%), cataract (23.9%), chronic simple glaucoma (13.2%), trauma (9.9%).
