Peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL) may assume a variety of histologic and cytologic appearances. We describe eight cases of PTCL morphologically simulating marginal zone B-cell lymphoma. T cell-mediated immunity is thought to play an important role in the pathogenesis of WG. Hantaviruses cause an important human illness, HFRS. Blood samples from 22 HFRS-positive, six seronegative patients and 15 healthy controls were examined in 1995, during the largest HFRS epidemic in Croatia. Thymoma is a thymic epithelial tumor which often contains a large number of immature T cells. Although the metastatic lesions are also associated with abundant lymphocytes, their characteristics have not been assessed in detail. In this study, the phenotype was analyzed and compared with those in their primary lesions. Nine metastatic thymomas were obtained from seven patients. In the metastatic lesions, CD1a+ cells and CD4(+)CD8(+) cells accounted for 77.7 +/- 10.6 and 52.3 +/- 15.8% of all the lymphocytes, respectively. OBJECTIVE: To characterize distinctive lymphoid cell populations in the synovial fluid (SF) of patients with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (JRA) that have the specific ability to display monocytic markers when cultured in vitro.
METHODS: Mononuclear cells obtained from SF of patients with JRA and depleted of adherent macrophages were cultured in vitro in RPMI 1640 medium supplemented with only fetal calf serum (FCS). Phenotypic evaluation of these cells was by flow cytometry and immunohistochemical analysis was by specific fluorochrome labeled antibodies.

The radiobiologic features of primary clonogenic blasts (referred to also as T-lineage leukemic progenitor cells) from newly diagnosed and relapsed T-lineage acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) patients were analyzed. Primary gastric T-cell lymphomas are rare neoplasms, and all but one of the previously phenotyped cases have shown a helper-inducer phenotype. The present case is the second reported case of a primary gastric T-cell lymphoma of suppressor-cytotoxic phenotype.
