Research on genital injury in sexual assault is limited and few articles have documented injuries to the cervix in sexual assault victims. This review focuses on reviewing and critically evaluating available literature on injuries of the cervix associated with rape, sexual trauma, and some other circumstances. BACKGROUND: Penile fracture is not a frequent event. It consists of rupture of the tunica albuginea of the corpora cavernosa. Fracture occurs when the penis is erect, as the tunica is very thin and not flexible.
METHODS: This prospective study was carried out over a period of 1 year and included 12 patients presenting with penile fracture.

AIM: Abdominoperineal resection (APR) is the only curative treatment for recurrent or persisting squamous cell carcinoma of the anus after radiochemotherapy. A vertical rectus abdominis myocutaneous (VRAM) flap reduces perineal morbidity. The sexual life (SL) of women after APR is unknown. Aims of this study were to evaluate SF of women after APR.
METHOD: 47 women alive after APR performed between 1996 and 2007 were included. SL was evaluated using the female sexual function index (FSFI) score.
RESULTS: 29 (62%) women answered the questionnaire: 15 (52%) had a VRAM and 16 (55%) a colpectomy.
