OBJECTIVE: The lockdown precautions during the COVID-19 pandemic led to concerns about the delayed diagnosis of malignancies. This study aimed to compare the duration of complaints at home and the presence of metastasis at diagnosis during the pre-pandemic and pandemic period in children with cancer.

BACKGROUND: Lung adenocarcinomas present as tight clusters and three-dimensional balls in effusion specimens. Malignancies are rare young French adults but represent the third significant cause of death in the cohort of 15-24 years of age. The aim of this study was to investigate incidence and survival rates of French adolescents and young adults with cancer. All cases of cancer occuring over a 20-year period (1978-1997) in the cohort of patients aged 15 to 24, were obtained from nine population-based registries (10 % of the French population). INTRODUCTION: Information is scarce regarding the outcome of oocyte donation (OD) in patients with a history of cancer treatment. Therefore, we conducted a matched controlled analysis on the outcome of OD in these recipients.
METHODS: Between January 2000 and November 2005, 33 patients with a history of chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy had an OD cycle. Matching was performed to the chronologically closest patient without a history of cancer therapy by number of days of hormonal stimulation before embryo replacement, number of replaced embryos, day of embryo transfer and origin of sperm.

We are reporting a previously undescribed primary dermal melanocytic tumor identified by reviewing all dermal melanocytic tumors referred in consultation that did not qualify histologically as a previously described entity. From these cases, 8 were remarkably similar. We termed them "paraganglioma-like dermal melanocytic tumor" (PDMT) based on their nested growth pattern. This term is used descriptively and does not imply any histogenetic or biologic similarity to true paraganglioma. The proto-oncogene Fli-1 is a member of the ets family of transcription factor genes. Its high expression in the thymus and spleen and the presence of DNA binding sites for Fli-1 in a number of lymphoid cell-specific gene suggest that Fli-1 is involved in the regulation of lymphopoiesis. 19 children between 3 and 23 years underwent 79 leukapheres for collection of blood stem cells. In children suffering from acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma (NHL) and Ewing's Sarcoma (ES) we collected 6.87 x 10(4) CFU-GM/kg (range 2,65-21.7), if collections were started with the first platelet rise.
