PURPOSE OF REVIEW: Glaucoma drainage devices (GDDs) have been generally accepted as a treatment of refractory glaucoma. GDDs have their own unique set of complications that are important to evaluate to prevent them.

PURPOSE: To report a case of bilateral multifocal choroiditis secondary to tubulointerstitial nephritis and uveitis.
METHODS: Case report. A 16-year-old women with an 11-month history of tubulointerstitial nephritis and uveitis and bilateral anterior uveitis developed bilateral multifocal choroiditis. After initial unsuccessful treatment with topical steroids, treatment was augmented by a 2-week course of systemic prednisone.

We examined nine specimens of anterior chamber angle tissue obtained by trabeculectomy from seven patients with early-onset congenital glaucoma and one patient with late-onset congenital glaucoma by light and electron microscopy and compared them with specimens of trabecular meshwork from normal human and monkey eyes.
