PURPOSE: Titanium ring cap applicator (VariSource) was applied in treating cervical cancer patients by using image-guided brachytherapy (IGBT). However, its sizes appeared to be relatively large for most of our patients. Thus, we have developed a specific applicator "Siriraj Ring Cap," which is slightly smaller and more suitable for our patients. This study was to evaluate effectiveness of this equipment.

A58 -year-old man with sigmoid colon cancer with peritoneal dissemination was treated with bevacizumab (BV) plus mFOLFOX6 therapy as third-line chemotherapy after treatment failures with FOLFOX4 and FOLFIRI regimen. CASE REPORT: We report a typical complication of hepatic artery infusion therapy (HAI) in a patient with colon cancer metastatic to the liver. One year after the last HAI-therapy the patient presented with upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Endoscopy showed a large duodenic ulcer penetrating into an adjacent hepatic colon cancer metastasis. The hepatic artery catheter was visible at the ground of the duodenic ulcer.
CONCLUSION: Thirty-five percent of patients under HAI-therapy develop gastric/duodenic ulcers. The severity of the HAI complication presented here, however, is quite uncommon.

Clinical studies were made of 60 patients who had undergone ureterosigmoidostomy at our department. The 45 men and 15 women ranged from 35 to 73 years old, with a mean of 59.2 years. Ureterosigmoidanastomosis was performed using the modified Coffey II technique in this series. Bladder tumor was the reason for the operation in 55 cases, uterine cancer in 2, contracted bladder in 1, vesicovaginal fistula in 1 and urethral stricture in 1. In the excretory pyelogram one month after the operation, normal findings and slight hydronephrosis were observed in 37% and 63% of the patients, respectively.
