There are no data in the literature on the incidence or treatment of posttraumatic painful erections not related to surgery of the genital system. A case of a 27-year-old man with painful erections after fracturing his sacral, pubic, and ischial bones in a motorbike accident is presented. His painful erections occurred in coitus, masturbation, and morning tumescence. No penile or neural pathology was found to account for the pain. He was treated with diazepam 2 mg before masturbation for 2 weeks, when the symptoms disappeared. The possible causes of the problem and its resolution are discussed

Doppler evaluation in erectile dysfunction (ED) has a significant role in determining the cause of ED. Fracture of the penis is an uncommon injury, but it occurs most commonly during over enthusiastic sexual intercourse. Diagnosis is not difficult but serious complications such as urethral rupture and corporo-urethral fistula may occur. Management should be by early surgical exploration, with evacuation of the haematoma and repair of the tear in the tunica albuginea in order to minimize the length of patient's stay in hospital and avoid complications such as penile deformity and painful penile erections.

We present a symptomatic delayed post-traumatic epidural hematoma of the T-spine that resolved within hours of administration of high dose steroids. Ten homozygous sickle cell patients, aged from 4 to 20 years, underwent a periodic red blood cells transfusion program. Indications were = one stroke or more in 4 cases, repeated severe painful crisis in 2 cases, and for others = chronic anaemia induced by hypersplenism, priapism, chronic leg ulceration, dwarfism with delayed sexual maturation.
