Interactions between anions and cations are important to understand the chemical processes of pollutants in environment. In this study, batch experiments were carried out to investigate the simultaneous adsorption of Cu and Cd on hematite as affected by phosphate. Phosphate pretreatment suppressed the maximum adsorption of Cu and Cd on hematite and moved the adsorption pH edges to a higher pH range. Granulocyte and monocyte adsorption apheresis (GCAP) is a new extracorporeal apheresis treatment modality that removes pathogenic granulocytes. Recently, we found that GCAP is useful for treating pyoderma gangrenosum and pustular psoriasis. Square wave adsorptive stripping voltammetry was used for determining trace amounts of dye Sunset Yellow (E-110) for the first time. Its adsorptive voltammetric behaviour followed by a square wave mode step was investigated at different pH media. We investigated the capability of Pepto-Bismol and its components (Veegum and bismuth subsalicylate) to sequester bile acids from aqueous solution in vitro and compared it to that of cholestyramine.
