The development of the postnephrectomy arteriovenous fistula (PNAVF) between the renal vessels stumps is rare. Here we present a case report of PNAVF, and review the diagnosis, treatment and prevention. The most common clinical features include a loud murmur over the previous nephrectomy scar, and heart failure resistant to common medical treatment. Anal fistulas, anal fissures and anal abscesses are common disorders of the anorectal region that can often only be cured durably by operation. The acute anal fissure can usually be treated successfully by conservative means, whereas the chronical anal fissure can be cured by local fissurectomy as a rule. The round window membrane of the inner ear of 15 guinea pigs was removed under ketamine anaesthesia. Perilymph was aspirated through the round window in 8 guinea pigs. The round window membrane had regenerated spontaneously after 2 weeks. Light microscopy revealed hair cell loss localized to the apical and basal turns of the cochlea. Morphological examinations showed the most severe changes in these group of aspirated animals. Abrupt pressure imbalance may be a causative factor of sensorineural hearing loss.

Between 1974 and 1991 six patients with an aortoenteric fistula were treated. A primary aorto-jejunal fistula was successfully operated. The other 5 cases were suffering from secondary fistulas due to aortoiliac reconstructions. None of these patients survived. The diagnostic procedures, therapy and prophylaxis are discussed.

We report a case of uterovesical fistula that had been diagnosed by cystoscopy, vaginoscopy and ultrasonography. Fistulorrhaphy via the transperitoneal transvesical approach resolved the passage of urine to the vagina. The decision to perform a conservative or more aggressive approach is determined by the site of the fistula.

A retrospective study was made of 23 cases of spontaneous biliodigestive fistulae collected from bile tract surgery performed in our center from 1979 to 1987, representing 1.05% of the total number of cases. The etiology was cholelithiasis in almost all cases and the most frequent connection was to the duodenum. Forty-eight percent of the cases presented as biliary ileus. In each case surgery depended on the etiology, clinical manifestations and status of the patient. The mortality was 8.7% and the morbidity 52%. Results are analyzed and a bibliographic review of the topic is offered.

This article presents 6 cases with idiopathic perilymph fistulae. The etiology of idiopathic perilymph fistula may be congenital malformation of the otic capule. Diagnosis of idiopathic perilymph fistula primarily depends on history and exploratory tympanotomy, but ENG-fistula test and positional audiometry are worth of diagnosing. During microsurgical procedure, attention must be paid to the presence of membrane of the round window niche. If a good repair of fistula is not followed by a good result, other lesions such as double labyrinth membrane rupture should be considered.
