Indolent leg ulcertation, which is the rarest manifestation of hereditary spherocytosis, started at the age of 5 years affecting a 15-year-old boy and his mother is reported. Review of literature showed very few reports from India and abroad. The response to oral folic acid was excellent.

Histologically indolent lymphomas which represent 40-50% of all non-Hodgkin's lymphomas encompass small lymphocytic lymphomas, follicular lymphomas and other entities more recently described such as mantle cell and marginal zone lymphomas. Their management has benefited from new drugs such as interferon alpha the purine analogues and new treatment modalities especially autologous stem cell transplantation.

Mastocytosis (MS) may be exclusively cutaneous or, more rarely, systemic. MS may be indolent (benign), aggressive, leukaemic or associated with a myeloproliferative disorder. The melanocyte activity was studied by analysis of the urinary excretion of indolic and cysteinyldopa compounds. Three horses were admitted with indolent-like corneal ulcers. All horses were treated topically with antibiotics. Two horses had ulcers with redundant epithelial borders, which were debrided with cotton-tipped applicators after topical anesthesia was induced. One ulcer healed after 2 debridements.
