The review included 163 cases of paraneoplastic pemphigus (PNP) reported between 1990 and 2003, including a new unique case of PNP associated with occult breast cancer and an ovarian cyst of borderline malignancy. Hematologic-related neoplasms or disorders were associated with 84% of the cases, with non-Hodgkin lymphoma (38.6%) as the most frequent, followed by chronic lymphocytic leukemia (18.4%) and Castleman's disease (18.4%). PURPOSE: To examine the frequency of additional neoplasms preceding and following the diagnosis of mantle cell lymphoma (MCL).
PATIENTS AND METHODS: A total of 156 patients with MCL treated on the hyperfractionated cyclophosphamide, vincristine, doxorubicin and dexamethasone alternated with methotrexate and cytosine arabinoside (Hyper-CVAD/M-A) program with or without rituximab from 1994 to 2000 were the subjects of this report.

Nevus sebaceous (NS) presents as alopecia and yellowish discoloration during infantile stage. In adult stage, lesions become verrucous. Importantly, various appendageal tumors such as trichoblastoma, syringocystadenoma papilliferum and basal cell carcinoma develop during this stage. Hence it is very important to follow the course of NS for early detection of neoplasms. We are presenting a case of a 10-year-old patient with a dome-shaped, dark-pigmented nodule on the left side of neck nape, which later diagnosed as NS and removed with a carbon dioxide laser.

BACKGROUND: Nevus sebaceus has a well-documented potential to develop a wide variety of neoplasms of both epidermal and adnexal origins. It is highly unusual for more than three tumors to arise simultaneously within a single nevus sebaceus. Sebaceous carcinoma arising within a nevus sebaceus is a rare occurrence.

INTRODUCTION: Among brain tumours, those arising from the deep brain are rare. In many cases they are low-grade astrocytomas. But primitive neuroectodermal tumours, ganglion cell tumours, oligodendrogliomas, lymphomas, and germinal neoplasms can also grow up from the basal ganglia and thalamic region. Gorlin-Goltz syndrome, also known as nevoid basal cell carcinoma syndrome, is caused by genetic alteration produced by a mutation in the 'patched' tumour suppressor gene, and is inherited in a dominant autosomal way. Although sporadic cases have been found, this syndrome has rarely been reported in twin patients. The syndrome is characterised by a wide range of developmental abnormalities and has a predisposition to neoplasms such as multiple pigmented basal cell carcinomas and keratocysts in jaws; it also has other features such as palmar and/or plantar pits and calcification of falx cerebri.

Approximately 5-15% of all dermatologic malignancies manifest in the upper and lower eyelids. The primary types include basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and sebaceous cell carcinoma, with Merkel cell carcinoma and melanoma following closely behind. Basal cell carcinoma predominantly affects the lower eyelid, yet various other carcinomas, melanomas, metastases, and neoplasms of diverse origins can arise on both upper and lower eyelids. Risk factors such as advanced age, smoking, and notably, exposure to UV light significantly contribute to the development of these eyelid lesions.
