The clinicopathologic features of the first case of a thymoma with a strong nuclear expression of thyroid transcription factor-1 are reported. The thymoma was classified as type AB according to the WHO-system. No definitive correlation between the different histologic patterns or neoplastic cell types and thyroid transcription factor-1 expression was discerned. No immunohistochemical evidence of neuroendocrine differentiation was identified with synaptophysin, chromogranin A, and CD56.

This report describes an anaplastic oligodendroglioma in a red deer, extending from the cerebellum and anterior medulla along the dorsal part of the brain stem to the posterior cerebral hemispheres and infiltrating the meninges. Immunohistologically, the tumour cells were labelled for S-100 but were negative for glial fibrillary acidic protein, vimentin and synaptophysin. This would appear to be the first report of an oligodendroglioma in a deer.
