PURPOSE: The fibrosis score is a new diagnostic score that we have developed to evaluate the function of bleb structures after glaucoma filtration surgery using polarization-sensitive optical coherence tomography (PS-OCT). This study aims to assess the efficacy of the fibrosis score in discriminating nonfunctional from the functional blebs.

Angle surgery is often performed for pediatric glaucomas. Here we report visually significant hyphema and "spill-over" vitreous hemorrhage after trabeculotomy performed for aphakic glaucoma. Vitrectomy was necessary to remove the persistent vitreous blood in 2 of the 3 cases. We suspect this risk may be greater in aphakic eyes and propose measures to minimize this potentially amblyogenic complication.

PURPOSE: To compare conventional argon laser trabeculoplasty (ALT) with selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) in terms of their efficiency in lowering the intra-ocular pressure.
METHODS: In this retrospective study, 56 eyes from 44 patients with primary open angle glaucoma, ocular hypertension, pseudo-exfoliative (PXF) or pigment dispersion glaucoma (PDG) were included. Argon laser trabeculoplasty was applied in 43 patients, 46 eyes. 34 eyes had had primary open-angle glaucoma, while 12 eyes had secondary open-angle glaucoma where no compensation of intraocular pressure was achieved although maximal medical therapy was conducted. Applying argon laser trabeculoplasty the intraocular pressure was normalized in 86% of eyes with a primary glaucoma considering period of 18.31 +/- 2.80 months. In 58.4% of eyes with secondary glaucoma satisfactory reduction of intraocular pressure was achieved considering period of 14.57 +/- 7.91 month.

To determine the efficacy and safety of selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) in patients with uveitic glaucoma, we retrospectively evaluated 17 eyes from 13 consecutive uveitic glaucoma cases who were treated with SLT due to inadequate interocular pressure (IOP) control despite glaucoma medical therapy. Minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS) targeting the trabecular meshwork are emerging as a new modality in the management of primary angle closure glaucoma (PACG). Aqueous angiography (AA) allows in vivo, real-time assessment of conventional aqueous humor outflow (AHO) using tracer dyes. Herein, we discuss a novel case of AA demonstrating changes seen in AHO post-trabecular MIGS in a PACG patient.
