We present a case of intra-epithelial carcinoma occurring in a serrated adenoma of the colon. The pedunculated polyp, which measured 12 x 10 x 6 mm, was endoscopically removed from the ascending colon of a 78-year-old woman. Histologically, the polyp mainly consisted of serrated adenomatous glands, and had foci of intra-epithelial carcinoma at the top. A case of gastric hyperplastic polyposis is reported in a 48-year old woman, with iron deficiency anemia. An hyperplastic gastric polyposis was discovered. This patient had been operated 17 years previously for a large adenomatous polyp of the caecum. Her son had also several adenomatous polyps of the right colon. A gastrectomy was performed. Hyperplastic gastric polyposis is very rare, and is quite always associated with colorectal adenomas. The relationship between gastric hyperplastic polyposis and intestinal polyposis is not quite clear.

The Authors report a case of intestinal bleeding due to lipoma of the epatic flexure. Lipomas are the commonest mesenchymal benign tumors that can be found in the colon and are second as frequence only to the adenomatous polyps. They are most frequent in the right colon and shown an opposite distribution in comparison with adenocarcinomas and adenomatous polyps. When tumor size is greater than 3 cm, lipomas become symptomatic. Radiological and endoscopic investigations provide orientative elements for diagnosis. In lipomas less than 2 cm in diameter an endoscopic treatment is feasible.
