INTRODUCTION: The "Smiley Face Rod" (SFR) method is an effective direct repair technique for lumbar spondylolysis. However, three-dimensional rod contouring is technically demanding, particularly in patients with a high body mass index (BMI), where deep soft tissue obscures anatomical landmarks.

BACKGROUND: The aesthetic dimension of transgender experiences involves various aspects linked to the visual representation and expression of one's gender identity. Nonsurgical cosmetic procedures, such as neuromodulators, have consequently become a viable treatment option for patients with gender dysphoria because of the ability to yield significant, although temporary, results with minimal associated risks and downtime.

The Moiré method, a new technique for recording contour lines on the body surface, was applied to the evaluation of facial osteotomy in patients with oro-facial disharmony. The advantages of the methods are three-dimensional, with no contact. Abdominoplasty is a very common procedure, especially for patients with abdominal laxness, striaes, and muscle rectus diastases. With the advent of liposuction 28 years ago, we can improve body contouring by treating lipodystrophies in the epigastric, flank, trochanteric, and buttocks areas. The procedure combining abdominoplasty and liposuction is called lipoabdominoplasty. Many new techniques have been proposed since these procedures were introduced; we now revisit the superior pull-down abdominal flap technique with several new modifications and improvements.

Lingual artery (LA) stenosis or bleeding can be a potentially fatal consequence of stereotactic body radiation therapy of recurrent head and neck cancer. Mesotherapy was first introduced in Europe for the treatment of localized pain. It is currently used mainly for aesthetical purposes and gradually getting widely used for body contouring, cellulite reduction, and skin rejuvenation. The reports concerning about mesotherapy is increasing in number in the literature. There are reported systemic and local side effects of mesotherapy.
