INTRODUCTION: Tribal women play a vital role in their communities, often managing both economic and domestic responsibilities. Despite the growing feminization of agriculture in India, women continue to face multifaceted challenges in accessing and controlling resources, exercising agency, and technological advancements, which collectively impede their empowerment and the achievement of SDG 5. These constraints are more pronounced among Oraon tribal women, who experience compounded disadvantages due to historical marginalization.
OBJECTIVE: This study identifies key challenges and formulates

AIMS/BACKGROUND: Lumbar disc herniation is a common chronic musculoskeletal condition requiring long-term postoperative rehabilitation. However, implementation of existing nursing models is often discontinuous and they are generally not patient-centered. This study aimed to explore the effects of a continuous rehabilitation intervention program based on empowerment theory on pain severity, lumbar function, self-efficacy and quality of life in postoperative patients with lumbar disc herniation from the perspective of internal medicine and chronic disease management.
METHODS: A retrospective co

BACKGROUND: Amid rapid global population aging, China currently bears the world’s largest dementia burden. Alzheimer’s disease (AD), characterized by progressive cognitive decline, a protracted disease course, and multifaceted care needs, imposes substantial demands on primary caregivers. These caregivers shoulder critical dual responsibilities: they not only provide long-term care during the advanced stages of the disease but also actively monitor disease progression and clinical outcomes. As essential partners in AD patient care, the level of empowerment among primary caregivers is a key det

Xenophagy is an intracellular defense mechanism against invading pathogens. Streptococcus pyogenes (group A Streptococcus, GAS) is efficiently eliminated by this process in epithelial cells. However, we previously reported that the efficacy of xenophagy differs among cell types; intrinsic deficits in endothelial cell xenophagy failed to suppress GAS growth. Considering that the basal level of xenophagy is lower in endothelial cells as compared to epithelial cells, additional stimulation may be required to enhance this activity. Recently, we reported that VEGF (vascular endothelial growth facto

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: Mental health disorders are a severe global public health crisis. Dance movement therapy (DMT) offers unique benefits, but traditional DMT is limited by subjective evaluation, non-standardized protocols, and restricted access. Digital technologies such as virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and wearable sensors may address these limitations; however, a structural gap remains between technological application and rigorous clinical evidence.
METHODS: This narrative review synthesizes literature from PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, and CNKI. Sources used for popu

BACKGROUND: Chronic diseases often present severe consequences for those affected. The management and treatment of chronic diseases largely depend on patients' lifestyle choices and how they cope with the disease in their everyday lives. Accordingly, the ability of patients to self-manage diseases is a highly relevant topic. In relation to self-management, studies refer to patient empowerment as strengthening patients' voices and enabling them to assert control over their health and treatment. Mobile health (mHealth) provides cost-efficient means to support self-management and foster empowerme

The world of oncology treatment is rapidly changing, and with the investigation into and utilization of molecular signaling pathways for cancer treatment, many new targeted small-molecule oral agents have been introduced as therapies, with more new drugs appearing every year. These agents, while generally considered less toxic overall than traditional chemotherapy, are not without adverse effects. The authors undertook an extensive literature search to determine the incidence, severity, and management strategies for small-molecule oral targeted agents approved by the FDA between 2013 and 2018.

This study investigates how human-machine collaboration depth is associated with teacher burnout during educational digital transformation. Grounded in Conservation of Resources theory, cross-sectional survey data from 489 Chinese university teachers were analyzed using structural equation modeling and conditional process analysis. Results indicated that human-machine collaboration depth was negatively associated with teacher burnout, mediated in parallel by digital burden and teacher agency. Within the present sample, the indirect inverse association via teacher agency was numerically larger

BACKGROUND: High-risk fertility behaviors remain a persistent public health challenge in sub-Saharan Africa, where maternal mortality and fertility rates are high. Women's empowerment is an essential factor in understanding and addressing high-risk fertility behaviors. However, previous studies have often focused on singular aspects of empowerment, such as education or decision-making authority. This study adopts a multidimensional approach to examine the association between women's empowerment and high-risk fertility behaviors across sub-Saharan Africa.
METHODS: We used Demographic and Healt

Small cell carcinoma of the cervix (SCCC) is a rare yet highly aggressive subtype of cervical cancer (CC), characterized by early invasion, high metastatic potential, frequent recurrence, and extremely poor prognosis, which severely impairs women's physical and mental health. Currently, high-risk human papillomavirus (hr-HPV, particularly HPV18) infection is recognized as one of the core drivers underlying the initiation and progression of SCCC. Malignant evolution is not triggered by a single infection event but is cooperatively regulated at multiple molecular levels, including HPV genome int
