The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) can be the site of bone, cartilaginous, or synovial tumors. There is no well-defined histological classification. We listed all benign tumors, malignant primitive tumors, and rare pseudo tumors of the TMJ. Ten cases of pediatric fulminant hemophagocytic syndrome, encountered between 1986 and 1989, are described. They occurred in the summer, and the patients presented with fever, jaundice, hepatosplenomegaly, pancytopenia, coagulopathy, and abnormal liver function. Bone marrow studies revealed infiltration by atypical T-lymphoid cells, rare B immunoblasts, and mature histiocytes with hemophagocytosis. Treatment of inflammatory and proliferation dermatoses can now be accomplished with pharmacologic agents which inhibit production of mediators or their actions. The immune system can be stimulated by thymosin, imidazo drugs, BCG, corynebacterium parvum and idoxyuridine. Immune complex diseases may be treated with corticosteroids, clofazimine, sulfonamides, antimalarial drugs, and nicotinic acid. Low dose, safe immunosuppressive therapy can successfully control scleromyxedema, guttate parapsoriasis, histiocytosis X, Kaposi's sarcoma, and Sézary syndrome.

INTRODUCTION: Sternal pseudotumour is an important but rare entity thought to be an inflammatory, non-neoplastic lesion that can mimic tumours. The purpose of this paper was to illustrate the imaging features of this lesion to avoid unnecessary investigations.

We report a patient with the extremely rare familial multiple lipomatosis syndrome, who developed the uncommon autoimmune disease cytophagic histiocytic panniculitis, manifested as inflammation of preexisting lipomas. Primary osseous tumors of the chest wall are uncommon neoplasms. They occur in a wide variety of pathologic forms, most of which can be distinguished by unique radiologic appearance. Management of these tumors depends on the diagnosis and stage. Adequate surgical resection is critical in achieving the best outcomes for most of these tumors. Chemotherapy and radiation may have an adjuvant role. Surgeons considering resection of any chest wall tumor should have a sound knowledge of the principles of resection and reconstruction.
