Fe3O4@walnut shell/Cu(ii) as an eco-friendly bio-based magnetic nano-catalyst was prepared by adding CuCl2 to Fe3O4@walnut shell in alkaline medium. A series of 2-aryl/alkyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-naphtho[1,2-e][1,3]oxazines were synthesized by the one-pot pseudo three-component reaction of β-naphthol, formaldehyde and various amines using nano-Fe3O4@walnut shell/Cu(ii) at 60 °C under solvent-free conditions. Clinical use of chlorpromazine (CPZ), an antipsychotic drug, is limited due to its hepatotoxicity. CPZ is found to inhibit in vitro intracellular carboxylesterases (CE), such as alpha-naphthyl acetate esterase, naphthol AS-D chloroacetate esterase, and alpha-naphthyl butyrate esterase in polymorphonuclear neutrophils, hepatocytes, and neuronal brain cells from mice. The effects of formaldehyde, glutaraldehyde, methanol, Clarke's fixative and microwave irradiation on the quantitative staining of proteins (Naphthol Yellow S) and nucleic acids (Ethyl Green-Pyronin) in a cell culture system have been investigated. Overall, glutaraldehyde rapidly yielded the highest and most consistent levels of staining when compared to all other chemical fixatives. "Kumkums" are coloured cosmetics frequently applied to the center of the forehead by Hindu women. Pigmented allergic contact dermatitis to "kumkum" was reported recently. It was associated with Brilliant Lake Red R and Sudan I allergy. These might be the causative allergens. Three of 7 brands of red "kumkums" analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrophotometry were found to contain various concentrations of Sudan I. They ranged from 2.789 mg/gm to 8.694 mg/gm. Sudan I is probably the cause of pigmented allergic contact dermatitis in red "kumkum".

Right atrium myocytes were obtained during open heart surgery from 4 patients with atrial septal defect, and from 1 patient with Fallot's tetrad, aged from 3.5 to 6 years. BACKGROUND AND AIM: Various methods can detect foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) in cows, but they necessitate resources, time, costs, laboratory facilities, and specific clinical specimen submission, often leading to FMD virus (FMDV) diagnosis delays. The 2022 FMD outbreak in East Java, Indonesia, highlighted the need for an easy, inexpensive, rapid, and accurate detection approach. This study aims to devise a one-step reverse transcriptase loop-mediated isothermal amplification (RT-LAMP) technique and phylogenetic analysis to detect the serotype O FMDV outbreak in East Java.
