A case of right testicular Leydig cell tumor in a 10 1/2-year-old child with precocious puberty is reported. Significant history included right orchiopexy for cryptorchidism when the boy was 7 years old. The literature is reviewed and this disease entity is discussed.

As a surgical therapy for intravaginal testicular torsion, we developed a testicular fixation method considering the testis in intravaginal testicular torsion in comparison with the normal one. With our method, the lower part of the testis is fixed in a ring form around the testicular long axis to show the wide extravaginal area similar to that of a normal testis. We believe that this method is simple, logical and effective to fix the testis in intravaginal testicular torsion.

The health records of 1816 11-year-old Dutch schoolboys were examined to assess the importance of these records for boys with an apparently non-scrotal testicle. Full records from birth onward existed for 58% of the boys; at least 4 examinations were recorded in 76% and no prior examinations in less than 4% of the boys. A rare complication following a difficult unilateral 1-stage Fowler-Stephens orchiopexy resulting in ipsilateral distal ureteral obstruction is reported. To our knowledge excessive vasal traction during orchiopexy causing partial obstruction at the ureterovesical junction has not been previously described. The complication arose when the transected spermatic vessels allowed tension to be placed solely on the vas when the testis was placed in the scrotum. The vas in turn compressed the ureter during bladder filling.
