People with disabilities are designated as a "population with health disparities" by the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities. Integrating disability-inclusive principles and approaches is an essential aspect of addressing barriers to population health and facilitating equitable public health practice among this population. PURPOSE: This article examines how dental hygiene status in Hong Kong compared to global developments of the profession. The aim is to address access to cost-effective, qualified preventive care.
METHODS: Information for this study was obtained using questionnaires and followed up by e-mail correspondence with International Federation of Dental Hygienists (IFDH) delegates and additional experts, supporting studies and reference literature. All experts consulted are involved in the professional and educational organisation of dental hygiene on a national level.

AIM: To conduct a rapid appraisal of the attitudes of New Zealand decision makers and tobacco control stakeholders on enacting a smokefree cars law.
METHODS: A media and document search was made for relevant official and other statements. In early 2008, nine semi-structured interviews were carried out involving three MPs, two officials of government health agencies and four members of NGOs with a stake in tobacco control. Interviews were audiotaped, transcribed, and analysed for themes.

In 2017-18, a large-scale cholera outbreak swept Yemen. We calculated the number of culture-confirmed cases from the suspected cases and diagnosis testing records. We estimate 184,248 confirmed cholera cases between April 2017 and the end of 2017, and the reproduction number of 2.2 with 95% CI of [2.1, 2.3] during the initial stage. We find a significantly (nonlinear) positive association between the reproduction number (R t) and precipitation, explained 13% of transmissibility changes, with one unit (mm) increment in precipitation leading to an increment of 20.1% in R t. During 2014-2019, the Utah Department of Health (UDOH) enhanced its surveillance program for acute hepatitis C virus (HCV) infections by mandating electronic reporting of negative HCV test results in 2015 and liver function test results in 2016. Current sun safety messages stress the importance of sun protection in avoiding the consequences of excessive exposure to ultraviolet radiation (UVR), such as skin cancers, cataracts and other eye diseases, and viral infections caused by UV-induced immunosuppression.
