It has long been recognized that clinical faculty receive little recognition or compensation for their efforts in education. Forty-four children between 3 and 14 years of age with Burkitt's lymphoma were studied at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Enugu, Nigeria from November 1991 to March 1995.
