In this study, we examined how substrate temperature affects the structural, morphological, electronic, and magnetic properties of nickel ferrite (NiFe2O4) thin films synthesized via spray pyrolysis. After a brief review of literature a case of congenital high scapula with omovertebral bone is presented by conventional X-ray films (plain X-ray and a. p. tomography). The additional computed axial tomography is of great diagnostic value, giving the surgeon a good deal of preoperative information on the anatomy of the bony connection between cervical vertebrae and scapula. The possible pitfalls of this new diagnostic technique are discussed as well as its limitation.

The high antibacterial and antiviral performance of synthesized copper(I) oxide (Cu2O) incorporated in zeolite nanoparticles (Cu-Z) was determined. Various Cu contents (1-9 wt %) in solutions were loaded in the zeolite matrix under neutral conditions at room temperature. Among one hundred and eighteen cases of malignant trophoblastic tumor with pulmonary metastasis treated by chemotherapy, residual shadow on the X-ray films was seen in 18 (15%). We report a case, showing a complete response to high-dose 5'-DFUR, with pulmonary metastasis from colon cancer. A 52-year-old male patient underwent right hemicolectomy for ascending colon cancer in August, 1991. A recurrence of colon cancer developed in the left lower lung 16 months after surgery, and 5'-DFUR was administered at a dose of 1,600 mg/body/day. In this work, rapid thermal annealing (RTA) was applied to indium tin oxide (ITO) films in ambient atmosphere, resulting in significant improvements of the quality of the ITO films that are commonly used as conductive transparent electrodes for photovoltaic structures. PURPOSE: Understanding of the role of the tear film lipid layer (TFLL) in evaporative dry eye requires knowledge of its structure. X-ray studies show 11.1-nm thick lamellae in meibum at tear film temperature (approximately 35°C), whereas below 30°C, 4.88-nm thick lamellae predominate.
