Eight patients with hydatidosis treated with albendazol in daily doses of 10 mg/kg daily in courses of 28 days (4-6 courses) were analysed. The patients came from Morocco, Spain, Turkey and Yugoslavia. Seven patients had a cyst (or cysts) in the liver and one had also cysts in the kidneys. One patient had cysts in the muscles of the extremities. Three splenectomized persons in Yugoslavia, California, and Ireland have been reported to be infected by three different Babesia species; two cases were fatal. In a study of the site where the fatal infection was contracted in Ireland, blood samples from 36 persons who had recently been bitten by ticks were inoculated into two splenectomized calves; no response to Babesia divergens was detected. Today is known that genus Malassezia includes seven species: M. furfur, M. sympodialis, M. obtusa, M. globosa, M. restricta, M. sloofflae and M. pachydermatis, but role of each of the species in the pathogenesis of disease has not been elucidated yet, so further laboratory isolation and identification are necessary. Transsexuality is a phenomenon, which presents a rarity on recruitment. A case of male-to-female genuine transsexualism was presented in term of psychological-psychiatric evaluation of a recruit for military service. A phenomenon of transsexualism is discussed through etiology, clinical picture, diagnosis, differential diagnosis and modern treatment.
