Two patients with a giant cyst of the sigmoid colon are presented. The literature is reviewed and the clinical features, differential diagnosis and treatment are discussed.

Two infants with total colonic aganglionosis (TCA) extending into the distal part of the ileum are described. Considerable diagnostic delay occurred with the correct diagnosis established first at 3 and 8 months, respectively. Radiologic findings compatible with TCA such as prolonged barium retention, reflux into ileum following barium enema, and foreshortening of colon were not clearly evident initially. The analysis of 382 observations of the complicated Meckel's diverticulum in children and adults is presented. The clinical course of the diverticulum, ileus resulting from this defect, peptic ulcer of the diverticulum are described. It has been established that in people having the diverticulum there occur other congenital developmental abnormalities which may be used for making the diagnosis of the disease.

Jejunal diverticulitis (JD) is a rare disease with significant clinical relevance, as it often causes intense pain in the epigastrium that radiates to the left flank, accompanied by hemodynamic instability and leukocytosis. Colovesical and rectovesical fistulas are relatively rare, and there is no consensus on the gold standard for diagnostic workup and treatment. Here we retrospectively analyzed clinical courses from four patients with colovesical or rectovesical fistulas diagnosed at our hospital between January 2024 and December 2024. Seed-induced colonic perforation is exceptionally rare but may mimic malignancy or complicated diverticulitis, leading to diagnostic challenges. We report the case of a middle-aged man who presented with acute right lower quadrant abdominal pain. Contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT) revealed mural thickening and a target-like lesion at the ileocecal junction, raising suspicion for intussusception or carcinoma. Citrobacter freundii, an opportunistic bacterial pathogen belonging to the family Enterobacteriaceae, has been sporadically reported in sea turtles.
