Penetrating keratoplasty is one of the most common tissue grafts and organ transplantations. The aim of our study was to report our experience in corneal transplantation. A prospective study of 195 patients who underwent corneal transplantation over the period from August 2009 to August 2015. Mean follow-up was 21 months. The indications for transplantation were keratoconus 33,8%, trauma-related sequelae 10,7%, bullous keratopathy 19,5%, hereditary dystrophies 10,7% and herpes keratitis 9,2%. BACKGROUND: Hemodialysis patients have frequent and various cutaneous manifestations of often hypothetical pathogenesis. Chronic renal failure (CRF) presents with an array of cutaneous manifestations. The objective was to evaluate the prevalence and nature of cutaneous lesions associated with CRF patients on hemodialysis patients.
PATIENTS AND METHODS: Transversal and observational study of 53 patients with CRF on regular hemodialysis.
RESULTS: There were 28 women and 25 men. Their mean age was 44 year-old. All patients had cutaneous manifestations and 64% complained of dermatological signs.

We report identical twins with intellectual disability, progressive spastic paraplegia and short stature, born to a consanguineous family. Intriguingly, both children presented with lymphadenitis caused by the live Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) vaccine. Two syndromes - hereditary spastic paraplegia (HSP) and mycobacterial disease - thus occurred simultaneously. OBJECTIVE: To describe the causes of death occurring during the antiretroviral therapy in Casablanca.
METHODS: Retrospective study of a cohort of HIV positive patients attending the infectious diseases unit of Casablanca receiving antiretroviral therapy. Files of 91 patients who died were analyzed.

Recent studies have demonstrated the association between the reactivation of Cytomegalovirus (CMV) and an increase of morbi-mortality in immunocompetent patients admitted to intensive care units (ICUs).
