A series of WO3/CeO2 (WO(x)/CeO2) catalysts were synthesized by wet impregnation of ammonium metatungstate on a CeO2 support. Four new angucyclin(on)es, 11-deoxylandomycinone (1) and landomycins X-Z (2-4) were isolated from the crude extract of Streptomyces cyanogenus K62 mutant strain, along with the recently reported landomycins S, T and V (5-7) and five other known compounds. The structures of the new compounds 1-4 were elucidated by 1D and 2D NMR studies along with HR-MS analyses. Electro membrane extraction was demonstrated in a microfluidic device. The device was composed of a 25 μm thick porous polypropylene membrane bonded between two poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) substrates, each having 50 μm deep channel structures facing the membrane. Simultaneous determination of polydatin and its metabolite in excrement samples using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with UV detection was accomplished. Pharmacokinetics of a single oral dose of phenylpropanolamine (CAS 154-41-6) was investigated by administering 50 mg of the drug at 10.00 and 22.00 h to 8 healthy male volunteers in a crossover design with a wash-out period of 10 days.
