INTRODUCTION: While premature ejaculation (PE) is the most common sexual dysfunction in men under 40, there is currently no government-approved therapy for its treatment. Is a cure possible?

Of 396 patients with posttraumatic posterior urethral strictures treated endoscopically during 10 years 352 had no vesical displacement (group 1) and 44 had marked displacement (group 2). A variety of new treatments are available for impotent men who wish to avoid a prosthesis. Arterialization of the deep dorsal vein of the penis is one of the new surgical procedures used in the treatment of men who do not respond to pharmacological agents due to vasculogenic impotence. Hypervascularity of the glans penis is a potential complication of this procedure and usually occurs during the early postoperative period. We present a patient with delayed onset of hypervascularity of the glans penis, and discuss the prevention and management of this complication.

We analyzed the incidence of prolonged erection (PE) in 495 impotent subjects following intracavernous papaverine chlorhydrate injection to evaluate sexual dysfunction. Patient course was individually assessed. The overall the incidence of PE was 5.05%. The etiology of sexual dysfunction was psychogenic in all cases. Arterial priapism is a rare condition in pediatric patients, caused by a fistula between the cavernous artery and the sinusoids of the corpus cavernosum, usually secondary to perineal trauma.
