A 33-year-old male complained of poor vision and visited the ophthalmology department of our hospital. Right iridoncus suspected as a metastatic nodule, was found. A systemic examination was done. Abdominal computed tomographic (CT) scan showed an enhanced mass in the right scrotum, 15 mm in diameter and enlargement of iliac lymph nodes. Rapid recovery of CD4+ T cells after intensive chemotherapy is limited by an age-dependent decline in thymopoiesis. Here we sought to determine whether similar limitations exist for CD8+ T-cell regeneration. After intensive chemotherapy, CD8+ T cells had a faster effective doubling time than CD4+ T cells (median, 12.6 v 28.2 days, P < .05). A patient with hairy cell leukaemia is described who developed progressive lymphadenopathy, which proved to be due to Mycobacterium kansasii infection. Clinicians should be alert to this rare but well-described complication of hairy cell leukaemia. Early lymph node biopsy is recommended in patients developing otherwise unexplained fever and lymph node enlargement.

BACKGROUND: The link between lymph node (LN) function and atherosclerosis is unclear, especially at the single-cell level. This study explores the relationship between pericarotid LNs and plaque stability using single-cell transcriptome analysis.
METHODS: We enrolled 106 patients with severe internal carotid artery stenosis undergoing carotid endarterectomy. We recorded baseline clinical data and pericarotid LN size, and analyzed plaque composition to assess its association with enlarged LNs.
