Postpartum pain is a frequent condition that negatively affects women's quality of life, interferring with everyday life. Analgesic drugs and surgery are often contraindicated in pregnancy and during breast feeding. We describe a case of a person living with HIV (PWH) with concurrent use of bictegravir and oxcarbazepine. Concomitant use of these pharmacotherapy regimens is considered contraindicated. A review of the literature, therapeutic bictegravir drug concentration monitoring and viral load evaluations allowed the continued current pharmacotherapy prescription of these medications.

AIM: The aim of the present study was to investigate the prevalence of geriatric syndromes among older medical inpatients with atrial fibrillation, and their association with use of vitamin K antagonists.
METHODS: A retrospective study of patients aged ≥65 years discharged with a diagnosis of atrial fibrillation from the Acute Geriatric Ward was carried out. Stroke and bleeding risk were evaluated according to the CHA2 DS2 -VASC and HAS-BLED scores.
