PURPOSE: To determine the prevalence of plateau iris configurations in acute primary angle-closure (APAC), chronic angle-closure glaucoma (CACG), and open-angle glaucoma (OAG) eyes using ultrasound biomicroscopy.

This article describes 1-year outcomes of a new intra-ocular implant, "Glauco-Claw," in refractory chronic angle-closure glaucoma (ACG). Glauco-Claw is a novice polymethylmethacrylate implant with a central ring and five claws placed circumferentially. CASE REPORT: A 78-year-old woman, with an acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive airways disease, was treated with nebulised ipratropium bromide and salbutamol.
