Specific binding sites for human/porcine endothelin have been found in rat brain membrane preparations using an [125I]endothelin. The apparent Kd value was 3 +/- 2 nM with a Bmax value of 2,200 +/- 200 fmol/mg protein. Chemical cross-linking of [125I]endothelin to rat brain membranes by using the cross-linking reagent disuccinimidyl suberate (DSS) revealed two specific proteins of Mr = 52,000 and Mr = 30,000. Detection of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) also known as luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH) in the relevant tumor tissue and normal tissues and organs in vivo expression was investigated. To examine the method of direct radio labeling of LHRH by 99mTc with relatively high radiochemical purity and stability, screening the best labeling conditions, to establish a simple and reliable method of preparation of 99mTc-LHRH was undertaken. Based on a report of a cat with food allergy that displayed cervical spondylosis, the vitamin A content was analyzed in various horse meat products.
