Analysis of hepatorenal perfusion was conducted in 44 patients, suffering an acute appendicitis. In 22 of them laparoscopic appendectomy was conducted, in 22--appendectomy, using a standard access in accordance with Volkovich-Dyakonov or Mac-Burney method. There was established more favourable impact of laparoscopic appendectomy conduction on hepatorenal postoperative perfusion, what is connected with lesser pain syndrome severity, influencing common hemodynamics, and more rapid elimination (or prophylaxis) of postoperative paralytic ileus, as well as better physical state of the patients.

The clinical picture varies widely as a consequence of varying participation of skeletal and heart muscle. The work describes a method of using a home tetrapolar two-channel rheograph RPG-2-02 for a one-step registration of differential rheogram (DRG) of the chest and neck-head. The stroke volume of the heart and the systolic blood volume in the cervical arteries were calculated by the corresponding DRG and the Kublicek formula. The clinical approbation of the method gave similar results of the capacitance blood flow with the literature data and with the rheographic method of determination of the cerebral blood flow.

Iliofemoral thrombophlebitis characteristically presents as acute inflammation and swelling of the affected extremity. We report a patient in whom the presenting complaints of high fever, nausea and left lower quadrant pain mimicked an acute abdomen. The diagnosis was confirmed by venogram after gallium scan and computer tomographic scan revealed abnormalities consistent with iliofemoral thrombophlebitis. This is the first report of abnormal gallium uptake in iliofemoral thrombophlebitis. Current methods of diagnosing this disorder are discussed and the literature reviewed.
