METHODS: This retrospective case series included patients with PCG who underwent trabeculotomy using an illuminated microcatheter with the intent of catheterizing the full circumference of Schlemm's canal in a single procedure. PURPOSE: The aim of this study was to report the characteristics of angle closure glaucoma (ACG) in eye clinic patients of University Colleg … (mean deviation >12 dB). Twelve eyes underwent laser iridotomy or surgical iridotomy and others had trabeculectomy or antiglaucoma medications. Mean IOP post intervention was 17.4 ± 6.9 mmHg.
CONCLUSION: ACG is not an uncommon disease. Early and effective diagnosis is important to prevent blindness.

PURPOSE: To report long-term results of human preserved amniotic membrane transplant (AMT) vs conjunctival advancement for repair of late-onset glaucoma filtering bleb leakage.

BACKGROUND: Congenital glaucoma is a potentially blinding disease that requires surgical therapy. This paper describes the outcome of trabeculotomy in primary congenital glaucoma.
METHODS: Thirty-nine eyes of 22 children with congenital glaucoma who underwent trabeculotomy with or without a simultaneous trabeculectomy between 1992 and 1997 were retrospectively analyzed.

In order to investigate the effects of laser trabeculoplasty (LT) on diurnal intraocular pressure (IOP) variations in 36 eyes of 30 cases with primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) in which medical treatment was terminated, the IOP curves, recorded 24 h before as well as 24 h and 12 weeks after LT were compared. Twelve weeks after LT, significant IOP decreases were observed: 36.42% in the mean IOP, 29. 77% in the mean peak IOP and 50.04% in the mean pressure range. LT might therefore have beneficial effects on the diurnal IOP variations in cases with POAG.

The association of unilateral primary developmental glaucoma with iridotrabecular dysgenesis and congenital ectropion uveae has been well documented in the literature. The glaucoma in this entity may present at birth, infancy or may develop at a later stage in life. I report the case of a child with late-onset unilateral primary developmental glaucoma due to iridotrabecular dysgenesis, congenital ectropion uveae, and who had a previously undescribed association with ipsilateral thickened corneal nerves in the stroma.

Goniotrephination with a fornix-based conjunctival flap was performed in 60 glaucomatous eyes.
