The Os Styloideum (OS) is an accessory carpal bone located in the dorsal aspect of the wrist between the base of the second and third metacarpal bones and the trapezoid and the capitate. The rate of colorectal trauma is 5-10 % in modern war conflicts. The most common causes include gunshots or shrapnel injuries; the contusion-laceration mechanism occurs in sporadic cases in the war zone. Despite modern surgical procedures, however, it is associated with a high rate of morbidity, especially if it is not diagnosed and treated in time. Spontaneous rupture of the Iliac Vein is very rare in practice. In over 90% of cases, the venous lesion is located on the left side. The exact etiology of this condition is unknown. Spontaneous injury of the iliac vein is thought to be favored by intense exercise, constipation, cough, labor, May-Thurner syndrome or pre-existing inflammatory changes in the venous wall are also implicated. We present the case of an 83-year-old woman who is brought to the Emergency Department for abdominal pain located in the left flank and in the left iliac fossa, which appeared after a medium physical exertion.

In this paper we report the autopsy findings of a long-term warfarinized 60-year-old man who died unexpectedly 2 days after undergoing laparoscopic transabdominal pre-peritoneal (TAPP) inguinal hernia repair. In his medical records it was stated that the perioperative and postoperative period was uneventful with no sign of bleeding and he was discharged the day after surgery. At the concentration of 100 ng/ml, recoveries of triazolam in plasma and urine were 84.9 and 91.0%, respectively.
