In autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) multiple bilateral renal cysts gradually enlarge, leading to a decline in renal function. Transepithelial chloride secretion through cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) and TMEM16A (anoctamin 1) are known to drive cyst enlargement. Pancreatic involvement in acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) may go unrecognised. There are only a few paediatric cases; nevertheless, presentation with pancreatic involvement in an adult patient with ALL has been reported rarely. Lymphokines which were mitogenic for cultured lymphocytes caused germinal centre enlargement within the regional lymph node following their intralymphatic injection.
