Germ cell tumors (GCT) are most commonly observed in the gonads. Extragonadal GCTs (EGCT) are uncommon and are considered metastatic or primary tumors. Histologically and immunophenotypically, EGCTs resemble gonadal GCT. EGCTs in the gastrointestinal tract are extremely rare and are seen more frequently as metastases than primary tumors. Germ cell tumors (GCTs) are associated with pure gonadal dysgenesis or Swyer syndrome. Swyer syndrome usually presents with primary amenorrhea, streak ovaries, and mixed GCT. However, our patient presented with secondary amenorrhea, normal female external genitalia, and a mixed GCT. Constitutional karyotype was suggestive of 46,XY. MATERIALS AND METHODS: This retrospective study included 3 cases of 46, XY gonadal dysgenesis with germ cell tumors evaluated and managed at the Department of Endocrinology, Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Srinagar, Kashmir, over a period of 13 years from (September 2008 to December 2021).

We present a case of a woman in her 20s, with a prior history of paediatric sacrococcygeal germ cell tumour, presenting with a 6-month history of perianal pain. An MRI pelvis revealed a heterogeneous soft tissue mass causing destruction of the sacrococcygeal bone. Germ cell tumors in the mediastinum are rare and often occur in young patients but may occur in older patients. Seminoma, embryonal carcinoma, yolk sac tumor, choriocarcinoma and teratoma have distinct morphologic features with high grade nuclei. METHODS: We analyzed somatic copy number aberration (CNA) profiles in 87 OGCT tumors and performed whole exome sequencing (WES) on 24 OGCT tumor and matched germline samples to further elucidate their molecular genetic landscape.
