Many, if not most, patients with a suspected small choroidal melanoma are currently managed by observation until tumor enlargement is documented. Current evidence appears to be insufficient to determine the correctness of this approach. A randomized clinical trial that could resolve this issue is probably not feasible. Four cases of anaphylactic shock are reported. In two patients who underwent A-C bypass operation, we evaluated hemodynamic changes systemically when the anaphylactic reaction occurred. At that time it was observed that arterial pressure, central venus pressure, left atrial pressure and systemic vascular resistance decreased and that cardiac index increased. In other two patients it was not possible to evaluate hemodynamic changes during reaction. To assess the relationship between hepatitis delta virus (HDV) infection and HBV and reveal the distribution of HDV infection and the feature of epidemic, we collected 271 cases of HBV infected people in Shijiazhuang area and tested anti-HD with EIA from April 1987 to October 1988. Two hundred twenty-four ears with attic cholesteatomas, subjected to one-stage surgery between 1965 and 1978, were reevaluated several times, most recently in 1980/81 at a median observation time of 8 years (range, 3 to 16 years) and in 1985/86 at a median observation time of 11 years (range, 3 to 21 years). Despite its value in the diagnosis of pericardial disease, two-dimensional echocardiography also is known to produce confounding results. Ten patients had juxtacardiac masses simulating pericardial tumor implants on echocardiographic examination ("pericardial pseudotumor") caused by juxtacardiac pulmonary atelectasis or lobar collapse. From 1965 to 1978, 122 children with cholesteatoma had one-stage surgery. Follow-up examinations were carried out several times, with the last two taking place in 1980/81 and 1985/86. Ninety-eight percent of the children were seen at follow-up; the median observation time was 11 years, with a range of three to 21 years.
