Ectopic scrotum is a type of congenital scrotal anomaly, most cases can be diagnosed in infancy. Various surgical management strategies of ectopic scrotum has been reported in the literature, but none has been proven to be superior. We report a case of suprainguinal ectopic scrotum in a 1-year-old boy with an abnormal sac of scrotal skin in the suprainguinal region since birth. We performed a one-stage scrotoplasty and testicular repositioning, achieving a satisfactory outcome.

Acute pancreatitis can lead to pancreatic and peripancreatic collections that can spread in the retroperitoneum to varying extents based on the severity of the pancreatitis. We present here an unusual case of pancreatitis where the patient presented with an acute scrotum as a result of extension of peripancreatic inflammation to the scrotum.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the potentialities of ultrasonic dopplerography and radioisotope scanning of the scrotal organs for the diagnosis of acute scrotal diseases and defining the indications to surgery in patients with acute epididymoorchitis. Henoch-Schönlein purpura (HSP) is a systemic vasculitis with manifestations usually involving the skin, gastrointestinal tract, kidney and joints. Scrotal leiomyomas of the tunica dartos are extremely rare and usually misdiagnosed. A case of a pedunculated mass observed expectantly over thirty years demonstrates the benign oncologic natural history of this lesion despite its capability for substantial growth. Only limited local surgical management of such lesions is indicated.

Two patients with Henoch-Schönlein syndrome presented with clinical pictures mimicking testicular torsion. No evidence of testicular torsion was found. A review of the literature revealed that testis torsion is very rarely associated with testicular involvement in Henoch-Schönlein syndrome, and hence only rarely is surgical exploration required.

Ectopic scrotum is a rare congenital anomaly. Most common location is supra-inguinal. We present a case of left ectopic scrotum in a three year old boy with no associated congenital anomalies, who underwent successful scrotoplasty and orchiopexy.
