In Taiwan, Japan, and China, methyl ethyl ketone peroxide (MEKPO) has caused many severe thermal explosions owing to its thermal instability and reactivity originating from the complexity of its structure. This study focused on the incompatible features of MEKPO as detected by calorimetry.
